The Benefits of Aeration

In addition to using Super's Choice pond bacteria in your lake or pond, it is also recommended to add a fountain or diffused aeration. Pairing aeration and Super's Choice pond bacteria will improve water clarity and reduce bottom sludge and muck. Aerators introduce oxygen to your pond which stimulates the pond bacteria and ensures they perform at the highest capacity to break down wastes and problem nutrients.

By providing uniform temperatures and oxygen levels throughout the pond, a properly sized aeration system can improve water clarity, benefit fish habitat, reduce surface scum build-up, protect fish from summer/winter fish kills and help reverse the aging effects of an older pond.
